Normally anything but the following, this is why I’m posting this!
Ok I’ve been on my own sometimes, from a couple of days up to a few of months, but this time is different.
I have lots and lots of things I wish to do or learn, one of them is cooking. And not cooking as in just fix something to eat, but cooking like very good, like friends would go yeah she cooks well, but so far I haven’t even made the first step, and this fact bothers me a lot, I’m a person with no time and always on tight schedule.
I arrived to Doha, all alone while everyone else is in amman, and after the crazy thing that happened about my next flight, I looked in the internet, went grocery shopping and did some experiments, I was very happy, I still am!
So my mother decides to come a month early, which is just a couple of days after I got here, what does she find?
Mother: wow! U cooked! And it’s actually good! i loved it! You cleaned and all! What else did u do in these two days?
Me: I bought new bedroom, was out for carpet, curtains, lights, paintings, wall clocks, sheets n blankets, shelves, boxes, baskets n all… I asked about changing floors and getting new floor materials, painting walls or getting wall paper and changing the false ceiling… and…
Mother: Luma r u outta ur mind?

QABBANI: well its harder than it seems, i thought ill buy everything, put them, and im done! but it seems this is gonna take till the end of this week!! i spent all yesterday adter work getting stuff m not half done!!
MAHER: sa7?? the thing is we’re in the gulf and 99% of the guys r away from families and they aaaaaaall can cook! hehehe
